Great meeting this morning, April 4

Good day everyone, 

Had a lovely breakfast this morning, nice turn out, had a guest and some great speakers.  

First off Eric passed around a notice of a public meeting taking place tonight from 7-9pm at 20665 SW Blanton-Aloha TVFR Community Room.  This is for the CP06 meeting   They will be discussing  Tri-Met service change proposals  with Tom Mills Tualatin Valley Water District: Supply Change proposals  may us Willamette River to Source Water.  If you are interested please come and join the meeting.  

Our visitor, Sally, had seen our website and wanted to come and talk to us sometime about the Yes for Our Beaverton Schools Levy Campaign.  She saw our website and so she showed up for breakfast.  

The boy scout troop we honor will be doing a Cord of Honor Ceremony at Mt. View Middle School April 8, 2013 at 7pm.  There will be a Desert Potluck after event is over.  Come on out.  Marv Doty will be there presenting a flag from the American Legion.  

At the board meeting the other night we set a couple of dates.  

Today at 2pm meet at Jack's house to work on the bulletin board project for the Aloha Library.  Said to come in through the garage and head towards the shop.  Don't knock on the front door as Carol won't be home and he'll be in the shop.

Wood cutting.  That will be April 20, 2013 at the Jenkins Estate, starting at 8:30am going to till roughly noon.  This event will be to split and rack it.  Furture dates likely will be during the week as Jack pointed out many of the folks are retired and could do weekdays.

May 18, 2013 Road Clean up, meet at Kmart  parking lot 8:30, likely to last till around 10:30am.  PAL plans to be involved.  

Bob talked to Cathy Baxter, Barry is doing alright, went back to work last week, hasn't been to the club meeting because if he comes to the club he's then late for work and then has to make up that time at the end of the day.  Cathy said that Barry is going in for another surgery on Monday.  

Wally talked to Dalton, he has changed real estate agencies.  He's now at Hillshire Realty Group. He hopes to make it back to the club really soon.  

Raffle winners:  Last week was Steve, this week was Captain Oathes.  Beings he is our speaker next week he'll be there to collect his winnings.  

Our speakers:  Stephanie and John McDowell from A Cut Above Pawn Store.  http://acutabovepawn.com/  This is the oldest pawn store in Beaverton.  They were given a certificate as part of being Speakers of the month as well as a book will be donated in their name to the Aloha Library.
